CCB Crew Challenge: Kids Can Do It

Hello everyone! I created this colorful little hair tie for this weeks Crew Challenge over at The Creative Studio Blog. This week we were challenged to share some fun creative ideas for kids that they would be proud of to create. Since I don't have any little ones at home I attempted this challenge on my own. I thought I would go with something that was cute, bright, and super easy to create that any little girl would love. Every little girl loves colorful hair ties and headbands, so I went with that. Below are a few step by step photos and tutorial.

Step 1.  Die cut or punch five circles out of a hot pink burlap sheet.

Step 2. Stack the circles and punch a hole in the center of them. I  stacked two at a time and punched a hole in the middle of them with my Crop-A-Dile

Step 3  Cut an opening in your hair tie and thread both ends through all five burlap circles.

Step 4. Thread one side of the hair tie through the back of the button and tie it to the other side. After you have both ends of your hair tie tied together and your button attached trim the end pieces so they are not showing. Thats it you have a completed hair tie that any little girl would love. You could even use this same tutorial and create a grown up version of this that any teenager or women would love to wear. Canvas Corp offers a wide range of canvas and paper items that are just waiting to be painted, stamped, inked, misted and more and the end result can be amazing.
