Planner, Sketch Book, Journal & A Giveaway

Hello everyone. Today I have a little something different to share. It's still paper related but instead of cards and layouts its all about journals, planners, and sketch books. Over the last couple of years I have seen a real surge among crafters who have developed a real love for planners, journals, and sketch books. So I thought it would be fun to share a few of my own along with how I use them. I also have a journal to giveaway so make sure you scroll to the end for all the details.

The are multiple planners available on the market these days, from the cheap to they very expensive. Over the years it seems like I have dabbled in them all. Student planners, daily planners, weekly planners, monthly planners, cheap, expensive, and I have even printed my own. Printing my own has been what I have stuck with over the last few years. It's cheap and easy and its what works best for me. There are lots of free printable calenders available from daily, weekly, monthly, and even yearly. I usually go with a monthly calender. I found this fabulous printable calender from over on Pinterest called Love Life 2015 Calender. There is a horizontal and vertical version to print depending on what style you like. I love the fun bright colors and every month has a different color. There are lots of other freebies that coordinate with this calender as well. Click HERE to see them all.

If your any thing like me then you follow, pin and participate in many different challenges. From the weekly, monthly, card sketches, scrapbook sketches, and color combos. It can be a real challenge keeping track of all of them and their due dates. So I thought it would be fun to create my own little sketch book to keep track of all the challenges I like to participate in.  Check it out!

This cute little sketch book was so easy to create. All I used was some patterned cardsotck for the cover, graph paper for the inside, and some staples to hold the entire thing together. I went with some white chevron patterned kraft paper for my cover. I put the patterned side in the inside and the blank side on the outside that way I could add some stamping or doodling. As you can see I have a cute little elephant witha banner stamped on the front of mine. The graph paper in the inside has been great, its super easy to draw out card/scrapbooking sketches. Below is a couple of current photos of the inside.

Besides my planner and sketch book I also use a little journal to jot stuff down, keep track of all my design team commitments, and keep track of all the supplies I use for certain projects. The journal I'm currently using is from Sarah Haffner's 2 Bee Press Etsy Shop, its called Whale Fluke and measures 3½" x 5½". I absolutely love this little journal. It fits in my purse nicely and it makes the perfect little travel journal.

Isn't it cute and guess what? Sarah was nice enough to send me two of her fabulous pocket sized journals so I have one of them to giveaway. I'm giving away the one pictured below!

GIVEAWAY:  I'm giving away this Kraft Bicycle themed pocket journal. The journal measures 3½" x 5½" and has 64 pages with a handy inner pocket for ticket stubs, receipts or photos.
