Slothsome Day

1.29.2016

Hello everyone! Today it's my turn to post over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. Today I'm sharing a cute little blue, pink, and gray card that would be perfect for a friends Birthday or even Valentines Day. I used the adorable sloth clinging to the tree as my main focal image and the sweet "Have a SLOTHSOME Day" sentiment from the set below. You can also find it in the Pretty Cute Stamps Shop HERE

I wanted my background to be to be fun and colorful so once I had my image stamped I masked it off and misted the entire background with two different mists. I started off by misting my background from far away and then moved a little closer to the cardstock and splattered a few different spots with the same two mists.

To add a little more dimension to my card I layered the cute little sloth two times. First I layered his entire body and then went back and layered just his head. You can see a close up above. Thanks for visiting!

Kitty Love

1.24.2016

Hello everyone! Today I have a 12 x 12 layout to share featuring lots of fabulous patterned paper from Crate Paper's Wonder collection. It's been awhile since I participated in a challenge so I thought it would be fun to play along with this weeks "Best Friends" challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog and this weeks "Create with Critters" challenge over at  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.

I knew I wanted to use these two photos of my cat Pookie but I wasn't sure how I wanted to start this layout so I went through some sketches I had printed and found one from PageMaps that I thought would be fun to use. You can find the sketch I'm using today HERE. I stuck pretty close to the sketch and created the large patterned paper pie chart with lots of different sized patterned paper from Crate Papers 6 x 6 Wonder collection. Once I had all my patterned paper all laid out I added some stitching down all the sides.

Once the background was complete I added my two photos in the center and added my title. The stamp I used originally said "Home is where your dog is" so I cut it apart and used some chipboard alphabet stickers to spell out the word cat.

I wanted the patterned paper to be the main focal point of this layout so I only added a few different embellishments and some random black mist splatters across my page. I hope you enjoyed my layout today! Thanks for visiting!

CHA 2016 Projects

1.19.2016

Hello everyone! I thought I'd pop in real quick to share two of my projects I had on display at CHA 2016 this year. This is the first time I've ever had any projects on display. So this is a first for me. I was so honored to be asked to create some projects for Canvas Corp Brands. I created both of these banners for the 7gypsies booth. Below you can see some close ups!

This banner was created with 7Gypsies Wanderlust collection, some canvas, cord, mini clothespins, and a bunch of  Tattered Angels mists.

In this photo you can see a close up of all the patterned paper I used along with all the different colored mists I used.

I created this banner with 7Gypsies American Vintage collection, some canvas, burlap, jute cord, natural clothespins, and a fabric flower. This one spells out "Be Brave" and features four different vintage polaroid photos along with an over sized burlap and canvas flower.

Here is a closer look at my Be Brave banner along with some of the other fabulous projects that were displayed at the 7Gypsies booth. I had so much fun creating these. I hope you enjoyed them and Thanks for visiting!

Pretty Cute Stamps Challenge: Love

1.15.2016

Hello everyone! It's time for another fun challenge over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. This months challenge is all about "Love". The challenge will run for three weeks and one random winner will be chosen to win a $15 gift certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps Shop. You can link up your creation and find all the challenge details HERE.

Since this months challenge is all about love I went with some colorful heart patterned paper and a fun little sentiment that says "Love is a four legged word." I used one of the adorable little kittens from the Cattitude stamp set and colored her to match my paper. I also thought it would be fun to add some little pink & gold hearts from the Slothsome stamp set towards the upper left corner. You can check out the two sets I used today below!

To add a little more color to my card I dry embossed some mustard yellow cardstock with a distressed wood grain texture plate. After I had my cardstock embossed I cut the bottom half to create a banner and added it to the right side of my card base. My sentiment was embossed with some bright white embossing powder onto some black cardstock, cut, and adhered to the bottom half of the banner. I also splattered some yellow ink behind my image to match the yellow cardstock and yellow colored hearts in the patterned paper. I did this by masking off my images, mixing some yellow ink with water, and splattering it onto the exposed white cardstock with a little paint brush. You can see a close up below.

I hope you enjoyed my love themed card today! Don't forget to check out the amazing projects the rest of the Design Team has created over at the blog HERE. Thanks for visiting!

I Love Your Cattitude

1.08.2016

Hello everyone! Today I have a fun little card to share featuring the Cattitude stamp set over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. This adorable little set was released back in November and is still one of my favorites. You can check out the entire stamp set below.

I used the cute little kitten towards the bottom of the stamp set along with the " I love your CATTITUDE!" sentiment. I also stamped the little fish bone stamp onto a little white tag and added it to the top part of my card with some twine.

After I had my little kitten colored I masked her off along with the outside edge of my die cut circle and misted the exposed cardstock with two different colored mists. You can see a close up above. A little bit of the red mist leaked under my masking but thats okay. Thanks for visiting!

PRETTY CUTE STAMPS SNEAK PEEK January 2015

1.06.2016

Hello everyone! It's time for another Pretty Cute Stamps Release! There are four new sets been released this month, all four will be on sale now through Tuesday, January 12th. Sneak peeks started yesterday, the stamp release blog hop will start tomorrow Friday, January 8th. You will defiantly want to check it out, there is a prize up for grabs for those of you that comment along the way.  Today I'm featuring the Game On clear stamp set. This 4 x 6 set includes 3 larger images, 3 smaller images, and 13 different coordinating sentiments.

I created this fun little card with four different stamps from the new Game On stamp that will be available on Friday. I randomly stamped my dark blue card base with the joy stick image in white ink and then built my card from there. I added a fun piece of patterned paper with some stitching to the center of my card base and then layered a smaller strip of patterned paper to the bottom half that had "Achievement Unlocked. Congratulations!" stamped towards the bottom right corner. I tucked half a white die cut circle behind the smaller strip of patterned paper after I stamped "Level Up" three times and added some colored stars. To finish my card I added a fussy cut joy stick that I stamped onto some white cardstock next to my sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed my sneak peek today and don't forget to join us the rest of the week over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog for more sneak peeks, blog hop projects, freebies, and prizes.

Hello, Sunshine

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I hope your year is off to a great start. I must admit it has been a bit difficult getting back into the swing of things after I took the whole month of December off but I'm back now and looking forward to crafting in 2016.

Today I have a fun friendship themed card to share with you that uses just one image stamp, one sentiment stamp. and one background stamp. I started by stamping  the adorable little hula girl onto some white cardstock and coloring her with some CTMH markers. I wanted her cute little top to coordinate with the patterned paper I was going to be using so I decided to paper piece it to match. After I had my hula girl colored I masked her off and added some bright yellow text and some light brown mist to the background.

Since my image and patterned paper were Hawaiian themed I thought it would be cute to add a little distresses canvas along the left side of my card. I also added some stitching and distressed the edges of my patterned paper to keep the vintage beach Hawaiian theme going. I hope you enjoyed my card today. Thanks for visiting!

PRETTY CUTE STAMPS CHALLENGE: Anything Goes

12.18.2015

Hello everyone! It's time for another fun challenge over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. This months challenge is "Anything Goes". The challenge will run for three weeks and one random winner will be chosen to win a $15 gift certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps Shop. You can link up your creation and find all the challenge details HERE.

I made this card with one of the little gingerbread's from the Gingerbread Kisses set and two of the little snowflakes from the Warm Fuzzies set.

To create my card I started by randomly stamping the little gingerbread guy and my two sentiments all around my card base. I had a few little open spaces left so I stamped some snowflakes here and there. After all my images were stamped, I colored all of the gingerbread guys and misted the entire card front with some Tattered Angels mist. You can see a close up below.

Thanks so much for visiting, and don't forget to check out the amazing projects the rest of the Design Team has created over at the blog HERE.

Sweet Holidays

12.11.2015

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing a fun little holiday card over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog featuring Gingerbread Kisses and Warm Fuzzies. These two 4 x 6 sets are perfect for the holidays and I just adore all the fun little images and sentiments that are included in each set. Check them out below!

I made this card with one of the little gingerbread's from the Gingerbread Kisses set and one of the little snowflakes from the Warm Fuzzies set. I kept my card pretty simple by using two different colored cardstocks and one sheet of patterned paper. I started by stamping the gingerbread image and "I hope your holidays are extra sweet" sentiment onto some white cardstock. After I had my image and sentiment stamped I colored the gingerbread, randomly stamped some pink and maroon snowflakes onto the background, and then assembled the entire card by layering the cardstock and patterned paper.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and don't forget you can share your Pretty Cute Stamps projects on the Pretty Cute Stamps Facebook Page or in the Pretty Cute Projects Facebook Group. Thanks for visiting!
