Your Are Soda-mazing

7.22.2016

Hello everyone! Today it's my turn to post over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. Today I'm sharing this fun colorful card featuring Pretty Cute Stamps Snack Time Stamp Set. I just love all the fun images and sentiments included in this adorable set. The images in this set are perfect for creating friendship cards or fun cards for your loved ones.

I used the adorable cup with the happy face and the "You Are Soda-Mazing" sentiment to create a little scene for my card front. I started by cutting a white piece of cardstock slightly smaller then my coral card base. Once I had my white cardstock cut to the size I wanted I lightly drew a pencil line across the bottom so I could easily line up all three of my cup images and started stamping. I started from the middle and worked my way out, so I stamped the first cup in the middle of my cardstock and then stamped one cup to the right and one cup to the left. I started from the middle and worked my way out that way I could evenly space all three of the cups. To finish off my little scene I stamped the "You Are Soda-Mazing" sentiment below my images and colored the cups and background with some Spectrum Noir Markers.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

Walking On Sunshine

7.18.2016

Hello everyone! Yesterday I shared a fun Polynesian themed card for My Favorite Things Camp Create Magnificent Masking Challenge. Today I'm back with another Polynesian themed card except this time I created it for My Favorite Things Camp Create Background Bonanza Challenge. I used the turtle, flower cluster, large leaf, small leaf, large flower, small flower, hibiscus flower, pineapple, and "Our Friendship Keeps Me Walking On Sunshine" sentiment from My Favorite Things BB Polynesian Paradise set to create my background.

To create my background I started with a 5 1/2' x 4 1/2' piece of white cardstock and started randomly laying out my images before inking them up. Once I had an idea of where I wanted each stamp to go I pick them up with a large stamping block and ink them up. I repeatedly stamped the images until I had my cardstock panel filled with images. I did have to go back and fill in a few spots with a few of the smaller images before coloring but for the most part my entire panel filled up pretty quickly because I was using the large stamping block with multiple images on it. I colored all my images in with some Spectrum Noir Makers keeping in mind some Polynesian/Paradise themed color combos. Once my background was complete I took a small paint brush, dipped it into some black mist and lightly splattered some black mist across my entire panel. On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped the adorable little turtle from the set, colored him, fussy cut him, and added a fun little google eye to his stamped eye.

I heat embossed the "Our Friendship Keeps Me Walking On Sunshine" sentiment from the set onto some tan cardstock, adhered it to half a yellow circle ment to represent a sun, adhered it to my cardbase, and added my fussy cut turtle right above my tan sentiment panel. I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

Hello, Sunshine

7.17.2016

Hello everyone! Today I'm playing along with My Favorite Things Camp Create Magnificent Masking Challenge and Simon Says Stamp Create A Scene Challenge over at the Wednesday Challenge Blog. I used the adorable little hula girl, flower cluster, and Hello, Sunshine sentiment from My Favorite Things BB Polynesian Paradise set to create my little stamped scene.

I started with a white peice of cardstock slightly smaller then my kraft card base and lightly traced a large circle right in the middle to use as my guide. I stamped the hula girl right in the middle of my circle and stamped two clusters of flowers, one on each side of her I left some space under her feet so I would have room to add my sentiment banner once all my masking was done. Once I had all my images stamped I colored them with some Spectrum Noir Markers and masked them all so I could add my sun. I masked around the circle I used in the beginning as my guide and added some yellow ink to create my sun. I peeled off the mask I used to create my sun, leaving all my other images masked. I then add another mask to the sun I just inked and misted the entire panel with two different mists. Once my panel had time to dry I peeled away all my masks reveling my scene and add the entire panel to my kraft card base. I heat embossed the Hello, Sunshine sentiment from the set onto some black cardstock, folded it to create a banner, and adhered it right under my images.

I usually don't do a lot of masking or scene building on my cards but I have to say I absolutely love how this turned out and I had so much fun creating it. I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

Pretty Cute Stamps July 2016 Blog Hop

7.12.2016

Hello everyone! Its time for another Pretty Cute Stamps Blog Hop. If you've arrived here from Henriette's
Blog then your in the right place. If you would like to start from the beginning, please click HERE. There are 11 new digital stamps being released today. You can check them all out in the shop HERE. My card features the Lifesaver set pictured below. This fun little set includes two images, five different sentiments, and the matching SVG outlines.

For this card I started by creating my card base. I layered a piece of kraft cardstock that had a bunch of anchors printed in white onto a plain kraft card base and set it aside for later. Next I opened the ring-shaped life preserver and the "You're A Lifesaver" sentiment in Photoshop, re-sized them, and printed them onto some white cardstock. Note I printed the ring-shaped life preserver twice so I could do some 3-D layering with some foam dots. Once I had my two images and sentiment printed I colored them and fussy cut them out. I kept one of the life preservers whole and cut the other one apart only keeping the red parts. I used some foam dots to adhere the fussy cut pieces to the other lifesaver giving it some dimension. I also cut away parts of the rope along the outside edge of my image and replaced it with some twine. I thought the twine would be a fun touch and lots of texture. To finish I added a small little yellow glittered star and attached the entire lifesaver in the middle of my patterned paper right above my sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed my card and Thanks for stopping by today! Your next stop on the hop is Shannon's Blog! Below you will find the complete line up in case you get lost along the way.

Happy Fourth Of July

7.01.2016

Hello everyone! Today it's my turn to post over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. Today I'm sharing this fun Fourth Of July themed card featuring Pretty Cute Stamps Uncle Sam Digital Set. I can't believe its already the 2nd of July, it seems like yesterday was June 2nd and the 4th will be here before I know it. Since The Fourth Of July is right around the corner I thought it would be fun to use this adorable little digital set to create my Independence Day card.

I used the cute little Uncle Sam image as my main focal image and the "Happy Fourth Of July" sentiment to create a border on the right side of my card front.

I started by printing the "Happy Fourth Of July" sentiment along the right side of a 4' x 5 1/2' piece of white cardstock. After I had my sentiment printed I added some red stitching down the left side, sponged on some yellow ink towards the right side of my card where I would place my fussy cut Uncle Sam image, and added the panel to my navy blue polka dotted card base. I printed out the Uncle Sam image onto some white cardstock, colored him with some Spectrum Noir Markers, and fussy cut him. I added my fussy cut Uncle Sam right over my sponged yellow background with some pop dots and added some navy blue acrylic stars. I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

Life Is Good

Hello everyone! Today I have something a little different to share. I create this colorful little 6 x 6 watercolored mixed media piece for this weeks Simon Says "Anything Goes" Challenge over at the Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge Blog and Prima's 30 Day Watercolor Challenge. I based my piece off of Day fourteens "With A Stamp" prompt. You can find all the challenge details and 30 days worth of prompts HERE.

I started with a 6 x 6 piece of watercolor cardstock, stamped my flower image in Ranger's Archival Jet Black Ink, masked off my image, and misted the entire panel with a violet and yellow mist. After the mist dried I added my "Life Is Good" sentiment, line of stars, background text, and postage stamp. Once my background was complete I colored my Black Eyed Susan's with a few different watercolor pencils from Prima.

I hope you enjoyed my mixed media project. Thanks for visiting!

Pretty Cute Stamps Challenge: Summertime

6.17.2016

Hello everyone! It's time for another fun challenge over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. This months challenge theme is "Summertime". This challenge will run for three weeks and one random winner will be chosen to win a $15 gift certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps Shop. You can link up your creation and find all the challenge details HERE.

I used two of the newest sets that were just released on Thursday called Hugs & Fishes and Summer Memories to create my card today. From the Hugs & Fishes set I used the adorable little striped fish, the outlined heart, and the "You are oFISHally the best" sentiment. I also used the "Hello Summer" sentiment from the Summer Memories set.

To create my card front I opened up all of the images I wanted to use in Photoshop and created a new 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" file, this is the canvas I used to build my scene. I created my scene, printed it off onto a 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" piece of white cardstock, and colored in all my images with some Spectrum Noir markers. After I had all my images colored I masked them all off and misted the entire panel with Tattered Angels Capri Blue Glimmer Mist. I removed the masks and it dry for a few minutes and them went back and misted the entire panel a second time with some Tattered Angles Baby Bubbles Glimmer Mist. I left the masks off the second time I misted my panel to give the entire panel a nice shimmer. Once the panel was dry I attached it to a 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" baby blue card. You can see a close up below.

I hope you enjoyed my fun little Summer themed card today! Don't forget to check out the amazing projects the rest of the Design Team has created over at the blog HERE. Thanks for visiting!
