Pretty Cute Stamps Challenge: Let's Celebrate

8.19.2016

Hello everyone! It's time for another fun challenge over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. This months challenge theme is "By The Sea". This challenge will run for three weeks and one random winner will be chosen to win a $15 gift certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps Shop. You can link up your creation and find all the challenge details HERE.

I used this adorable little Wonky Cake set pictured below to create my card today. This set was a freebie offered during this months release sneak peeks and blog hop. Make sure to join us at the beginning of each month for release sneak peeks and a blog hop. Every month there will be a new freebie for you to enjoy.

I printed the fun little wonky cake and "Celebrate You!" sentiment onto some patterned paper and colored it with some Spectrum Noir markers. Once I had my cake all colored I colored in the top chocolaty parts of my cake tiers with a Zig Emboss Writer, added some clear gloss embossing powder, and heat embossed the three tiers for an extra chocolaty look. I mean ...who doesn't love a cake covered in chocolate.

To finish off my printed panel I added a light teal wavy border to the right side along with two orange star shaped brads and stitched along the left side with some brown thread before adhering it to my white card base. I hope you enjoyed my fun little chocolaty card today! Don't forget to check out the amazing projects the rest of the Design Team has created over at the blog HERE. Thanks for visiting!

Pretty Cute Stamps August 2016 Blog Hop

8.11.2016

Hello everyone! Its time for another Pretty Cute Stamps Blog Hop. If you've arrived here from Tasha's
Blog then your in the right place. If you would like to start from the beginning, please click HERE. There are nine new digital stamps being released today. You can check them all out in the shop HERE. My card features the Birthday Monkey set pictured below. This fun little set includes four images, four different sentiments, and the matching SVG outlines.

I used all four images included in this set and the super cute "Let's go bananas!" sentiment to create my card today.  I started with a 4 1/2' x 4 1/2' white card base. I adhered a slightly smaller piece of patterned paper that I misted with some yellow mist, added some twine, and stitched around the edges to the middle of my card base. I opened all of the images I wanted to use for my card  in Photoshop and started re-sizing and layering them to create my little birthday scene. Once my scene was complete I printed it onto some white cardstock, trimmed it down, colored all of my images to match my pattered paper/cardstock, and matted it with some plum cardstock. I added a small mini clothespin with some twine to the bottom right side of my panel and adhered the entire thing to my card base right over my misted patterned paper.

I hope you enjoyed my card and Thanks for stopping by today! Your next stop on the hop is Kel's Blog! Below you will find the complete line up in case you get lost along the way.

Make sure to hop along because one lucky winner will get a $15.00 gift certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps Shop!

Pretty Cute Stamps August 2016 Sneak Peek

8.09.2016

Hello everyone! It's time for another Pretty Cute Stamps Release! Over the the next two days we will be sharing projects featuring all the new digital stamps that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next two days on Friday, August 12th, 2016. Okay, now onto today's sneak peek. Today I'm featuring images from two of the newest sets, Birthday Gator and Birthday Monkey. The alligator and "Gator Greetings" sentiment are from the cute little Gator Birthday digital stamp set and includes 2 fun images and 4 different coordinating sentiments.

To create my card I started with a 3' x 6' white card base, layered a bunch of different pieces of patterned paper over the top, and set it aside while I created my scene in Photoshop. I opened the two images and the sentiment I wanted to use in Photoshop and created the little scene you see above. I printed my images and sentiment onto a white piece of cardstock and set it aside to air dry for a few minutes before coloring. Once my images had time to dry I colored in the gator, balloon, and background with some Spectrum Noir markers and attached the entire panel to my layered card base.

I hope you enjoyed my sneak peek today and don't forget to join us the rest of the week over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog for more sneak peeks, blog hop projects, freebies, and prizes.

Life's A Beach

8.05.2016

Hello everyone! It's my turn to post over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. Today I'm sharing this fun Life's A Beach card featuring Pretty Cute Stamps Life's A BeachBeach Bum's, Wave Borders, and Beach Babes. You can check out the four sets I used below.

I opened all the images I wanted to use in Photoshop and created this fun little beach scene. I started with the sandy hill and then added one of the wave borders behind it. Once I had my sandy area and water in place I added one of the Beach Babes, one of the Beach Bum's, and the "Life's A Beach" sentiment.

I printed the scene I created onto some white cardstock, die cut it with a double pierced rectangle die to add a pierced edge, colored in all my images, and adhered the entire panel to a textured white card base. I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

Your Are Soda-mazing

7.22.2016

Hello everyone! Today it's my turn to post over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. Today I'm sharing this fun colorful card featuring Pretty Cute Stamps Snack Time Stamp Set. I just love all the fun images and sentiments included in this adorable set. The images in this set are perfect for creating friendship cards or fun cards for your loved ones.

I used the adorable cup with the happy face and the "You Are Soda-Mazing" sentiment to create a little scene for my card front. I started by cutting a white piece of cardstock slightly smaller then my coral card base. Once I had my white cardstock cut to the size I wanted I lightly drew a pencil line across the bottom so I could easily line up all three of my cup images and started stamping. I started from the middle and worked my way out, so I stamped the first cup in the middle of my cardstock and then stamped one cup to the right and one cup to the left. I started from the middle and worked my way out that way I could evenly space all three of the cups. To finish off my little scene I stamped the "You Are Soda-Mazing" sentiment below my images and colored the cups and background with some Spectrum Noir Markers.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

Walking On Sunshine

7.18.2016

Hello everyone! Yesterday I shared a fun Polynesian themed card for My Favorite Things Camp Create Magnificent Masking Challenge. Today I'm back with another Polynesian themed card except this time I created it for My Favorite Things Camp Create Background Bonanza Challenge. I used the turtle, flower cluster, large leaf, small leaf, large flower, small flower, hibiscus flower, pineapple, and "Our Friendship Keeps Me Walking On Sunshine" sentiment from My Favorite Things BB Polynesian Paradise set to create my background.

To create my background I started with a 5 1/2' x 4 1/2' piece of white cardstock and started randomly laying out my images before inking them up. Once I had an idea of where I wanted each stamp to go I pick them up with a large stamping block and ink them up. I repeatedly stamped the images until I had my cardstock panel filled with images. I did have to go back and fill in a few spots with a few of the smaller images before coloring but for the most part my entire panel filled up pretty quickly because I was using the large stamping block with multiple images on it. I colored all my images in with some Spectrum Noir Makers keeping in mind some Polynesian/Paradise themed color combos. Once my background was complete I took a small paint brush, dipped it into some black mist and lightly splattered some black mist across my entire panel. On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped the adorable little turtle from the set, colored him, fussy cut him, and added a fun little google eye to his stamped eye.

I heat embossed the "Our Friendship Keeps Me Walking On Sunshine" sentiment from the set onto some tan cardstock, adhered it to half a yellow circle ment to represent a sun, adhered it to my cardbase, and added my fussy cut turtle right above my tan sentiment panel. I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

Hello, Sunshine

7.17.2016

Hello everyone! Today I'm playing along with My Favorite Things Camp Create Magnificent Masking Challenge and Simon Says Stamp Create A Scene Challenge over at the Wednesday Challenge Blog. I used the adorable little hula girl, flower cluster, and Hello, Sunshine sentiment from My Favorite Things BB Polynesian Paradise set to create my little stamped scene.

I started with a white peice of cardstock slightly smaller then my kraft card base and lightly traced a large circle right in the middle to use as my guide. I stamped the hula girl right in the middle of my circle and stamped two clusters of flowers, one on each side of her I left some space under her feet so I would have room to add my sentiment banner once all my masking was done. Once I had all my images stamped I colored them with some Spectrum Noir Markers and masked them all so I could add my sun. I masked around the circle I used in the beginning as my guide and added some yellow ink to create my sun. I peeled off the mask I used to create my sun, leaving all my other images masked. I then add another mask to the sun I just inked and misted the entire panel with two different mists. Once my panel had time to dry I peeled away all my masks reveling my scene and add the entire panel to my kraft card base. I heat embossed the Hello, Sunshine sentiment from the set onto some black cardstock, folded it to create a banner, and adhered it right under my images.

I usually don't do a lot of masking or scene building on my cards but I have to say I absolutely love how this turned out and I had so much fun creating it. I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!
