Pretty Cute Stamps Challenge: Summertime

6.17.2016

Hello everyone! It's time for another fun challenge over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. This months challenge theme is "Summertime". This challenge will run for three weeks and one random winner will be chosen to win a $15 gift certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps Shop. You can link up your creation and find all the challenge details HERE.

I used two of the newest sets that were just released on Thursday called Hugs & Fishes and Summer Memories to create my card today. From the Hugs & Fishes set I used the adorable little striped fish, the outlined heart, and the "You are oFISHally the best" sentiment. I also used the "Hello Summer" sentiment from the Summer Memories set.

To create my card front I opened up all of the images I wanted to use in Photoshop and created a new 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" file, this is the canvas I used to build my scene. I created my scene, printed it off onto a 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" piece of white cardstock, and colored in all my images with some Spectrum Noir markers. After I had all my images colored I masked them all off and misted the entire panel with Tattered Angels Capri Blue Glimmer Mist. I removed the masks and it dry for a few minutes and them went back and misted the entire panel a second time with some Tattered Angles Baby Bubbles Glimmer Mist. I left the masks off the second time I misted my panel to give the entire panel a nice shimmer. Once the panel was dry I attached it to a 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" baby blue card. You can see a close up below.

I hope you enjoyed my fun little Summer themed card today! Don't forget to check out the amazing projects the rest of the Design Team has created over at the blog HERE. Thanks for visiting!

Hello everyone! It's time for another Pretty Cute Stamps Release! There are 13 new sets being released this month and ohhh are they fabulous. Sneak peeks started on Monday, you can check out Day 1 HERE and Day 2 HERE. Today I'm featuring this months freebie, Land Of The Free. You will be able to purchase any of the other products you have seen over the last few days on Thursday June 16th.

I printed two rows of stars and the Land Of The Free sentiment onto some white cardstock. Once I had my images and sentiment printed I cut out six of the outlined stars with my exacto knife and colored the five checkered stars red. I added a red piece of cardstock to the bottom of my printed panel and attached both pieces to my textured navy blue cardbase. I really love how this turned out, the navy blue showing through adds lots of texture and dimension.

Holy Guacamole!

6.10.2016

Hello everyone! Today it's my turn to post over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. Today I'm sharing this fun little friendship card. I used the adorable little guacamole bowl and two of the coordinating sentiments from the set below called Taco Time.

I stamped and colored the cute little smiling guacamole bowl from Taco Time and stamped one of the sentiments right next to it. I thought it would be fun to highlight some of the sentiment so I stamped the guacamole in green and the chips in yellow. After I had my image and sentiment stamped I adhered some patterned paper to my card base and die cut a scalloped border out of red cardstock. I added the red scalloped border to my stamped panel and adhered the two to my card base.

I thought the card need a little more red so I hand cut a little banner out of some matching red cardstock, stamped "Holy Guacamole!" from the set, stapled the top of it, and attached it towards the left of my card. I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

I'll Bee There

6.07.2016

Hello everyone! Today I'm playing along with this weeks I Heart Sketches with a twist Sketch #155 over at the From The Heart Blog and this weeks Summer Garden Challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.

I used the adorable little digital set called Bee Happy Birdbrain from From The Heart Digital Stamps shop and paired it with some patterned paper from Echo Park's Petticoats & Pinstripes Collection. Too cute, right? You can download this set for free in the From The Heart Digital Stamps Shop HERE

I didn't stray to far from the sketch, in fact I replicated the sketch exactly except I added two little embellishments to the upper left side of my patterned paper. To start I folded a 9" x 4 1/2" piece of  light pink cardstock in half to create a 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" card base. One my card base was created I cut two pieces of patterned paper, distressed the edges, printed my sentiment, and layered them over my card base. I printed the Bee Happy Birdbrain digital stamp onto some white cardstock and colored the image with some Spectrum Noir markers. Once I had my image colored I took my 2 1/2' circle punch and punched my image out, distressed the edges, and adhered it to my card base. To finish my card and add a little bit of dimension I added two little yellow enamel dots to the upper left hand side of my striped patterned paper.

Here are the Spectrum Noir Markers I used.
Bird- CT2 & CT4
Flowers- CR11, BT4, CR2, GB3
Flower Stems- DG2 & DG3
Grass- DG2
Bee- GB4 & BGR1
I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

Pizza My Heart

6.02.2016

Hello everyone! Today I have a super cute card to share featuring a bunch of different stamps from Pretty Cute Stamps Snack Time stamp set and some patterned paper from Crate Paper's Wonder Collection. I started my card by layering three different pieces of patterned paper over my card base. I attached the first layer of patterned paper over the entire front of my white card base and then created my second layer by die cutting the top edge of some red striped patterned paper with a fun border die. I adhered a third layer of patterned paper right over my second layer and added some mini staples to the top left and right sides before attaching the two layers to my card base. I  stamped two of the adorable smiling pizzas onto some white cardstock with some Ranger Archival ink, colored them with some markers, and fussy cut them before attaching them with some foam tape to the right side of my card front.

I stamped the fun little "You Stole A Pizza My Heart" sentiment in black towards the left of my two fussy cut  pizzas and stamped two of the soild hearts from the set towards the top left of my third layer. I just love how this one turned out, those little pizzas are to die for. Don't you think? Thanks for visiting!

Poppin' By To Say You're The Best

5.27.2016

Hello everyone! Today it's my turn to post over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. Today I'm sharing this fun popcorn themed card. I used the smiling popcorn box, one of the mini popcorn kernels, and one of the fabulous sentiments from the set below called Snack Time to create my card today.

To start my card I die cut a circle out of some white cardstock, stamped the cute little smiling popcorn box in the center of it, and colored it to match my patterned paper. On another small piece of white cardstock I stamped five little popcorn kernels, colored them, and fussy cut them. I used small little pieces of foam tape to pop up and attach the kernels to my larger stamped image. I covered my card base with some circus themed patterned paper, layered some yellow cardstock towards the top half of my card, attached my embossed border along the bottom of my yellow cardstock, adhered my stamped circle towards the right side of my card, and stamped the first half of my sentiment towards the right side of my stamped circle piece.

Once the outside of my card was complete I stamped the second half of my sentiment in the inside of my card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

Pretty Cute Stamps Challenge: Just For Him

5.20.2016

Hello everyone! It's time for another fun challenge over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. This months challenge theme is "Just For Him." This challenge will run for three weeks and one random winner will be chosen to win a $15 gift certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps Shop. You can link up your creation and find all the challenge details HERE.

Today I'm using one of the mini controllers and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Game On stamp set pictured below.

I started by folding an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of kraft cardstock in half to create a 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" card base. After my card base was created I layered two different types of video game themed patterned paper, stapled two mini staples towards the top left where the two patterns met, and added some red brads towards the bottom right. Once my card base was complete I stamped one of the little controllers and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment onto some kraft cardstock with some black ink, fussy cut them, and then adhered them both to a distressed circle piece of kraft cardstock that I misted with some red mist. I then adhered the circle piece to my cardbase towards the left and my card was complete.

I hope you enjoyed my fun masculine card today! Don't forget to check out the amazing projects the rest of the Design Team has created over at the blog HERE. Thanks for visiting!

Shine Bright

5.18.2016

Hello everyone! Today I have this colorful 12 x 12 layout to share featuring lots of patterned paper, embellishments, and puffy stickers from Pink Paislee's Bella Rouge Collection. I created this layout for the NSD The Paws Have It (Pet Themed) Challenge over at Scrapbook.com. The challenge is to create a new, never-before-published layout featuring your beloved pets using the supplies you have on hand. You can link up your project and check out all the challenge details HERE

I started my layout by creating a mixed media style background with some coordinating Tattered Angel mists and a sharpie marker. Once my background was dry I used a mix of fun patterned paper from Pink Paislee's Bella Rouge Collection to create a base for my 4 x 6 picture. I love the texture that distressing gives so I distressed some of the edges of my patterned paper before adhering all layers together.

Since this challenge is all about creating a layout based on our beloved pets I used this cute little photo of our dog Lexis setting on the couch. In the photo it kinda looks like she is smiling so I added the adorable little sliver puffy stickers that spelled out Shine Bright for my title.

I wanted to add various amounts of dimension to this layout, so I used some puffy stickers, mini gems, chipboard pieces, staples, and stamps to add interest to the layout.

I fit my journaling right under my photo to the left next to my vellum banner. I quickly wrote about Lexis in the photo and added my date stamp along with a few embellishments. I hope you enjoyed my layout. Thanks for visiting!

Grateful Smile

5.15.2016

Hello everyone! Today I have a fun layout to share that I created for the NSD Embellishment Variety Challenge over at Scrapbook.com. The challenge is to create a new, never-before-published layout that showcases a wide variety of embellishments. You can link up your project and check out all the challenge details HERE

I created my page with lots of patterned paper and embellishments from Pink Paislee Cedar Lane Collection. This collection is one of my favorites, the colors and patterns are fabulous. I started the base of my layout by stamping some text in yellow and misting/splattering some black mist across the page. Once my background had dried I layered a bunch of different sized patterned paper pieces right in the center of my white 12 x 12  cardstock base. Now that I had all my layers where I wanted them I added my photos, large title, and embellishments.  I clustered some of the embellishments below my tittle and towards the upper left and right of my photos.

I thought it would be fun to mix two black and white photos with one colored photo. The black and white photos really make the colored photo stand out.

The colored photo pulls out some of the pink in the patterned paper and draws your eye toward the center of the page.

I layered my Grateful Smile title right over my photos and stapled banners creating a small clustered area towards the left side of my page. I added my journaling right below my patterned paper along with a yellow wood veneer butterfly.

I used a variety of different die cuts, hand cut banners, tags, wood veneer pieces, gold embellishments, and mini gold staples to create a few different visual triangles and draw your eye around the page. I hope you enjoyed my layout. Thanks for visiting!
