Strike Up The Band

9.22.2016

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing my third and final entry for MFT’s Superstar Card Contest. There are only a few hours left to enter if your interested. All you have to do to enter is pull out your favorite MFT’s stamps & dies, create a brand new/original card using any theme you like, and link it up HERE.

I really wanted to create something fun and colorful so I created this really colorful watercolor background with some watercolor cardstock from Tim Holtz and some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I started with a 4.25” x 5.5”.piece of watercolor cardstock and used a waterbrush to paint on four different colors of glimmer mist. I made sure to work fast and overlap some of the colors so they would blend into one another.  After my watercolor background dried I die cut it with a Pierced Rectangle Die from My Favorite Things and stamped the "It's Your Birthday Strike Up The Band" sentiment from My Favorite Things BB Strike Up The Band stamp set. I also randomly stamped a few of the smaller band instruments from the set in a light gray ink over my watercolored background. I wanted the little marching mice to be the main focal point of my card so I stamped them onto some white cardstock, fussy cut, and colored them with some Spectrum Noir Markers that matched my background. I adhered them to my watercolred background with some foam pop dots to give my card some depth and attached the entire watercolored panel to a white card base.

Hello everyone! Its time for another Pretty Cute Stamps Blog Hop. If you've arrived here from Carolyn's Blog then your in the right place. If you would like to start from the beginning, please click HERE. There are fourteen new digital stamps being released today. You can check them all out in the shop HERE. My card features the Werewolf set pictured below. This fun little set includes one large image, four different sentiments, and the matching SVG outline.

I printed the upper half of the Werewolf onto some cream cardstock, fussy cut it, adhered it to a large gray circle, and set it aside while I worked on the rest of my card. For the base of my card I die cut some patterned paper with a pierced rectangle die, printed the "I'm just wild about you" sentiment towards the bottom half of my patterned paper, and adhered it to my gray card base. I cut a double ended banner out of some coordinating patterned paper and adhered it to my card front right above my printed sentiment. Once my banner was attached I adhered my Werewolf image and gray die cut circle to my card front.

I hope you enjoyed my card and Thanks for stopping by today! Your next stop on the hop is Noe's Blog! Below you will find the complete line up in case you get lost along the way.

PRETTY CUTE STAMPS September 2016 SNEAK PEEK

9.19.2016

Hello everyone! It's time for another Pretty Cute Stamps release! Today is day two of sneak peeks, sneak peeks started yesterday on Monday, you can check out Day 1 HERE. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see today on Wednesday September 21st, 2016. Okay, now onto today's sneak peek. Today I'm featuring a cute little mummy and adorable coordinating sentiment from one of Pretty Cute Stamps newest digital sets, called Mummy. This cute little set includes one mummy image and four different coordinating sentiments.

I started with a 6' x 6' piece of white cardstock folding it in half to create my 3' x 6' card base. After my card base was folded I opened Photoshop and printed the super cute "I'm all wrapped up in you" sentiment right in the middle of my card front. I printed the adorable little mummy onto some white cardstock, colored him, fussy cut him out, and adhered him to the right side of my card front. Before adhering the little mummy to my card front I added some fun Halloween themed patterned paper and some orange colored string behind him for added texture. I also added a few sliver sequins around my sentiment and image to help draw the eye around the card. Below is a little close up.

I hope you enjoyed my sneak peek today and don't forget to join us the rest of the week over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog for more sneak peeks, blog hop projects, freebies, and prizes.

Hedgehog Thanks

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing my second entry for MFT’s Superstar Card Contest. I decided to go a little crazy and created my entire card with the super cute BB Happy Hedgehogs stamp set & the Thanks & Hello Die-namic die.

I started with a 5 1/2' x  4/ 1/2 white card base and randomly stamped a bunch of the cute little stamps that are included in the BB Happy Hedgehogs set. Once my images were stamped I colored them with some Spectrum Noir markers and set it aside while I worked on the the main focal point of my card. I stamped and masked the two adorable little hedgehogs and the log onto some white cardstock, fussy cut, and colored them to match my stamped card base. I added some gold thread behind my image before attaching it to my card front to give my card some texture. I've always loved pink and brown together along with pink and green so I decided to use all three of those colors in different shades as my color combo. I wanted to highlight some of the pink in my background so I die cut the Thanks Die-namic out of some pink cardstock three times, layered them for some dimension, and adhered it right below my stamped image.

I hope you enjoyed and Thanks for visiting!

I'd Slay A Dragon For You

9.18.2016

Hello everyone! Today I have a super cute card to share for this years MFT’s Superstar Card Contest. Have you heard about MFT’s Superstar Card Contest? If not its a fantastic creative opportunity and you will have the chance to be selected as one of the top ten card design superstars and win a $250 voucher from My Favorite Things. All you have to do to enter is pull out your favorite MFT’s stamps & dies, create a brand new/original card using any theme you like, and link it up HERE

I started by folding a 9" x 4 1/2" piece of white cardstock in half to create a 4 1/2" x  4 1/2" card base. I stamped the entire front of my card base with the adorable little dragon making the cute 'O' face from My Favorite Things BB Magical Dragons stamp set. I set my card base aside and started on my focal scene. I started by die cutting one of the stitched mini scalloped circles from My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX Die-namics out of a piece of white cardstock and began building my stamped scene.

I stamped the same dragon I used for my background and the super cute little knight towards the bottom half of my stitched mini scalloped circle. I masked off the two images and then stamped the grassy hill from My Favorite Things BB Ewe Are the Best stamp set and then masked that off as well so I could add my light blue cloudy sky with some ink and mini ink blending tool. Once my background was done I removed my masks and colored my images with some Spectrum Noir Markers. I hope you enjoyed and Thanks for visiting!

PCS Polka Dot Challenge

9.16.2016

Hello everyone! It's time for another fun challenge over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. This months challenge theme is "Polka Dots". This challenge will run for three weeks and one random winner will be chosen to win a $15 gift certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps Shop. You can link up your creation and find all the challenge details HERE.

Since this months challenge is all about polka dots I used a colorful polka dotted patterned paper from Elle's Studio and this super cute rainbow stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps.

I started with a 5 1/2" x  4" kraft card base and adhered a piece of polka dotted patterned paper to the front of my card base that I die cut with a large pierced rectangle die. I die cut another piece of kraft cardstock with a smaller pierced rectangle die, stamped my "Thank you for always being my rainbow" sentiment towards the middle, and adhered the entire panel to the center of my polka dotted patterned paper. On another piece of kraft cardstock I stamped my rainbow image, colored it with some Spectrum Noir markers to match my patterned paper, and adhered it to my card front right above my sentiment with some pop dots.

I hope you enjoyed my fun polka dotted Thank you card today! Don't forget to check out the amazing projects the rest of the Design Team has created over at the blog HERE. Thanks for visiting!

Happy Fall

9.09.2016

Hello everyone! It's my turn to post over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. Today I'm sharing this fun Fall themed card featuring Pretty Cute Stamps Harvest Happiness Stamp Set. I just adore these two scarecrow images that are included in this set. You can check out all the fun images included in this set below.

I stamped the two scarecrow images and the "Happy Fall, Y'all" sentiment onto some white cardstock and colored them with some Spectrum Noir markers to match my patterned paper. Once my images were colored I matted my stamped panel with some light blue patterned paper that I die cut with a postage stamp border die, tied some twine around the two pieces, added a little hand cut banner to the upper left side, and added two little gold staples towards the upper right side. I then matted those two pieces with another sheet of  patterned paper and adhered all the pieces to my blue card front. To finish off my visual triangle I added a cute little pink and gold glittered heart to my tied twine right below my sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

Happy Purrrthday!

8.26.2016

Hello everyone! It's my turn to post over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. Today I'm sharing this fun Birthday themed card featuring Pretty Cute Stamps Cattitude Stamp Set, Fur Baby Stamp Set, & Avery Elle's Double Pierced Rectangles Elle-Ments Die. You can check out the two little 4' x 6'  sets I used below. I used one of the adorable cats and the cutest little sentiment from the Cattitude stamp set to create a little scene for my card front. I started by die cutting a pierced rectangle out of some white cardstock before stamping my images. I stamped the adorable little cat in the middle of my die cut piece and then added my "Happy Purrrthday!" sentiment right below. I colored in my little cat and created a dotted background with some Spectrum Noir Markers. Once colored I set it aside to work on the rest of my card base.

I took the largest die from Avery Elle's Double Pierced Rectangles Elle-Ments Die and die cut a large rectangle out of some colorful patterned paper from Close To My Heart. I adhered it to my white card base and started working on the teal frame that would surround my stamped panel. To create my teal frame I die cut two different sized pierced rectangles out of some teal cardstock, laying the smaller die inside the larger die to create the frame. Once die cut I removed the smaller inside piece of teal cardstock and adhered my stamped panel piece in its place.

For the inside of my I used I die cut another pierced rectangle out of teal cardstock and stamped it with the "You PAWSitively wonderful!" sentiment from the 4' x 6' Fur Baby set. I also stamped four little paw prints around my sentiment to dress it up a little more.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!
