Pretty Cute Stamps Challenge: Just For Him

5.20.2016

Hello everyone! It's time for another fun challenge over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. This months challenge theme is "Just For Him." This challenge will run for three weeks and one random winner will be chosen to win a $15 gift certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps Shop. You can link up your creation and find all the challenge details HERE.

Today I'm using one of the mini controllers and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Game On stamp set pictured below.

I started by folding an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of kraft cardstock in half to create a 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" card base. After my card base was created I layered two different types of video game themed patterned paper, stapled two mini staples towards the top left where the two patterns met, and added some red brads towards the bottom right. Once my card base was complete I stamped one of the little controllers and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment onto some kraft cardstock with some black ink, fussy cut them, and then adhered them both to a distressed circle piece of kraft cardstock that I misted with some red mist. I then adhered the circle piece to my cardbase towards the left and my card was complete.

I hope you enjoyed my fun masculine card today! Don't forget to check out the amazing projects the rest of the Design Team has created over at the blog HERE. Thanks for visiting!

Shine Bright

5.18.2016

Hello everyone! Today I have this colorful 12 x 12 layout to share featuring lots of patterned paper, embellishments, and puffy stickers from Pink Paislee's Bella Rouge Collection. I created this layout for the NSD The Paws Have It (Pet Themed) Challenge over at Scrapbook.com. The challenge is to create a new, never-before-published layout featuring your beloved pets using the supplies you have on hand. You can link up your project and check out all the challenge details HERE

I started my layout by creating a mixed media style background with some coordinating Tattered Angel mists and a sharpie marker. Once my background was dry I used a mix of fun patterned paper from Pink Paislee's Bella Rouge Collection to create a base for my 4 x 6 picture. I love the texture that distressing gives so I distressed some of the edges of my patterned paper before adhering all layers together.

Since this challenge is all about creating a layout based on our beloved pets I used this cute little photo of our dog Lexis setting on the couch. In the photo it kinda looks like she is smiling so I added the adorable little sliver puffy stickers that spelled out Shine Bright for my title.

I wanted to add various amounts of dimension to this layout, so I used some puffy stickers, mini gems, chipboard pieces, staples, and stamps to add interest to the layout.

I fit my journaling right under my photo to the left next to my vellum banner. I quickly wrote about Lexis in the photo and added my date stamp along with a few embellishments. I hope you enjoyed my layout. Thanks for visiting!

Grateful Smile

5.15.2016

Hello everyone! Today I have a fun layout to share that I created for the NSD Embellishment Variety Challenge over at Scrapbook.com. The challenge is to create a new, never-before-published layout that showcases a wide variety of embellishments. You can link up your project and check out all the challenge details HERE

I created my page with lots of patterned paper and embellishments from Pink Paislee Cedar Lane Collection. This collection is one of my favorites, the colors and patterns are fabulous. I started the base of my layout by stamping some text in yellow and misting/splattering some black mist across the page. Once my background had dried I layered a bunch of different sized patterned paper pieces right in the center of my white 12 x 12  cardstock base. Now that I had all my layers where I wanted them I added my photos, large title, and embellishments.  I clustered some of the embellishments below my tittle and towards the upper left and right of my photos.

I thought it would be fun to mix two black and white photos with one colored photo. The black and white photos really make the colored photo stand out.

The colored photo pulls out some of the pink in the patterned paper and draws your eye toward the center of the page.

I layered my Grateful Smile title right over my photos and stapled banners creating a small clustered area towards the left side of my page. I added my journaling right below my patterned paper along with a yellow wood veneer butterfly.

I used a variety of different die cuts, hand cut banners, tags, wood veneer pieces, gold embellishments, and mini gold staples to create a few different visual triangles and draw your eye around the page. I hope you enjoyed my layout. Thanks for visiting!

Pretty Cute Stamps Sneak Peek May 2016

5.11.2016

Hello everyone! It's time for another Pretty Cute Stamps Release! There are ELEVEN new sets being released this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you have seen over the last few days on Friday May 13th. Sneak peeks started yesterday, you can check out Day 1 HERE. Today I'm featuring two of the newest digital stamp sets called Happy Camper & Camper Sentiments. The Happy Camper set includes 1 large digital stamp and is meant to be paired with the Happy Camper Sentiments set.

I printed the large camper and the "You Make Me A Happy Camper!" sentiment onto a white piece of cardstock. After I had my images printed I cut my cardstock panel down to fit my light blue A2 card base. I round the top edges of my panel and then colored my camper image to match a piece of patterned paper I pulled from my stash. Once I had my image colored I went about assembling my card, I attached the white piece of cardstock with my image towards the top half of my card base and attached the colorful piece of patterned paper I pulled from my stash towards the bottom half of my card. I added some twine, a mini red clothespin, and some glossy accents to my camper windows to complete my card.

I hope you enjoyed my sneak peek today and don't forget to join us the rest of the week over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog for more sneak peeks, blog hop projects, freebies, and prizes.

Hello, Spring!

5.07.2016

Hello everyone! Today it's my turn to post over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. Today I'm sharing a fun little card featuring stamps from the Spring Flowers stamp set pictured below. I used the "Hello, Spring!" sentiment, the cute little tulip, and one of the mini leafs to create my card today. You can find the stamp set I'm using today in the shop HERE.

I started by cutting a piece of pattered paper and then added some orange ribbon across the top half of it with some mini staples. I adhered the piece of pattered paper towards the bottom half of my white card base and then added a little matching bow to the left side of my patterned paper and ribbon panel. Next I stamped the "Hello, Spring!" sentiment towards the right side of my paper panel and then stamped three little tulips towards the right of my stamped sentiment. On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped six little leaves, colored them green, and fussy cut them. I colored the little tulips to match my pattered paper and then added their leaves, bending the tops to add some dimension.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for visiting!

Game On

4.29.2016

Hello everyone! Today it's my turn to post over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. Today I have a fun little mini card and matching gift bag to share. My card & gift bag features a bunch of different stamps from the Game On stamp set picture below. You can find the stamp set I'm using today in the shop HERE.

I used the fun little PlayStation controller and the "Game On" sentiment from the set for the front of my mini card.

I stamped the controller in black onto some teal cardstock and added my sentiment right below it in the same black ink. I distressed the edges of my teal cardstock before matting it with some textured black cardstock. After I had my stamped panel matted I adhered it to a 3 x 3 white card base.

For the inside of my card I stamped the "I love you more than you love video games" sentiment in black and added a few of the little mini stars that are included in the Game On set.

I thought it would be fun to create a little matching git bag so I stamped one to match. I started with a plain white mini gift bag from Canvas Corp and randomly stamped the front of it with some controllers and stars. After I had the front of my gift bag all stamped I added the fun little sentiment that reads "To my control freak" to the upper left side of my bag. I attached my sentiment with a staple and then added a mini black clothepin and some twine. I hope you enjoyed my project today. Thanks for visiting!
